Order Instructions & Important Information

 

START OF PRODUCTION

 - DEFINITION- The date your order will be in process with the AL Team.

 - Please make sure to send wording and addresses by the date given. An email will be sent with instructions to send your wording and addresses.

 - Within the first week, we will confirm your order and send you a digital file of your wording to approve. Must be replied to within 24-48hrs.

 

From start of production to completion, it is very important that you send your wording by the requested by date.

Communication is key. If there are any changes that we need to know or any delays,

please let us know so that you avoid any additional fees.

We will try to work with you the best that we can. However, please note that we run a very tight schedule. 

• Designing invitations is a process. This means that each step hinges on the completion of the previous step. Please remember this when reviewing and communicating about revisions. The more prompt you are with your feedback, the faster the process moves.
 

 

 

DESIGN PROCESS

 

The design process begins with a phone call, email conversation, or meeting where we’ll talk about your ideas, inspiration and all your paper needs. After we have an idea of what you're looking for, and you’re confident that we understand your ideas, we will present you with an estimate for the project. This usually takes about one week to prepare.

 

Once you approve the estimate, we’ll provide a invoice and contract outlining the details of your project and an invoice for a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin design (full payment is start of production is within 30 days). As soon as we receive your deposit and electroincially signed contract, you are then confirmed on our schedule.

 

PRESELECTED CUSTOM DESIGN FROM SITE- Alexandria Lindo will allow you to change the colors or printed card layout at no cost if utilizing the same materials. Also, up to three rounds of digital revisions of the printed materials are provided as PDFs via email are included in your estimated fee. Revisions are not redesigns. Additional revisions can be completed at a $25-$75 per digital revision/PDF proof fee. We require approval of the final proof by a written statement sent via email.

 

FROM SCRATCH CUSTOM DESGIN PROJECTS- Alexandria Lindo will present one initial custom design directions* based on your ideas and inspiration we discussed in our first meeting/conversation. Initial design directions for wedding invitation suites include the invitation only. 

After we’ve discussed your initial feedback, we’ll implement the chosen design into any remaining elements of the suite. After you've reviewed our first drafts, we'll discuss your feedback and changes. If you wish to see additional initial designs, we will adjust your estimate accordingly. Up to three rounds of revisions provided are included in your estimated fee. Revisions are not redesigns. Additional revisions can be completed at a $25-$75 per revision/PDF proof fee. Once we have finalized the design, we will email you a final PDF proof which you must approve before the job goes to press. You will be responsible for additional charges incurred as a result of changes requested after written approval has been given.

 

Any changes made after we deliver your files to the printer will incur an additional fee. 

Alexandria Lindo aims to provide accurate typesetting and content proofing. It is the responsibility of the client to proofread and approve all final type, layouts, and content. Additionally, any changes to copy, content, or other included material must be communicated to Alexandria Lindo in writing. Your approval shall be conclusive of approval for artwork, typography, and other content items.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Depending on the type of printing you chose, turnaround times vary. Generally printing, assembly and delivery takes up to five weeks.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Timeline VERY IMPORTANT

We have set up a timeline in your invoice  to explain the start of production, date wording is required and estimated arrival date. Please note that if there is a delay in your order due to sending in custom wording late or not replying to messages in a timely manner, you will be charged a 20% fee of the full balance in regards to the pressure to complete your order in a timely manner. We hold to a very strict schedule, so please keep this in mind.

Please be aware that any delays caused by you will postpone your estimated completion date. It’s very important to answer emails promptly and send wording when requested. Digital files should be approved promptly as well.

 

Additional Costs

If our costs increase due to changes in the job specification, or other unforeseen reasons, we will amend the project estimate, and may require additional deposit to proceed with the job.

 

Digital Proof Approval

 

Colors

We will happily attempt to match special colors, but we cannot guarantee perfect matches. Colors on your PDF proof/screen will vary slightly from the printed color.

Shipping

FREE domestic shipping for all orders that are not boxed or international. Should the client wish to use another shipping method, please let us know at the time of design approval. Alternative shipping methods must be payed in full before shipment. We cannot be responsible for damage during shipping. If your job suffers damage in transit, you must file a claim against the carrier (UPS, USPS, Fed Ex, etc) to recover the value. Please also note, we have no control over any package once it leaves our studio. All matters once your order is shipped must be handled with the carrier. A refund can not be provided if items are lost, damaged or does not arrive on time. Our shipping instruction are clear during purchase and tracking numbers are sent. We will try to reprint the order as quickly as possible as a service to you, but we will have to charge the full price for the replacement, including a new non- refundable deposit. Customs, shipping and handling charges are in addition to imprinting costs. We insure the job for the amount paid to Alexandria Lindo. For international orders, we place the total value of your order as the value of your package.

Additional

All custom designs and concepts created by Alexandria Lindo remain the intellectual property of Alexandria Lindo. Any concepts created throughout the design process, whether they are used in the final product or not, also remain the intellectual property of the Alexandria Lindo. Alexandria Lindo reserves the right to use such concepts in both digital and physical portfolios as well as advertisments. Any and all personal information on the design (addresses, phone numbers, etc.) will be changed prior to publication in a digital portfolio. Alexandria Lindo reserves the right to use elements of any design (excluding original artwork contributed by another party) in the creation of future work.
